My girlfriends mother was attacked by a pack of drop bears when her husband cut down their tree....

it was not good we had to put them to death with a gun ...... we left the drop bears to feed while we escaped....

Sydney's drop bears of course were decimated by the early white settlers - not even a drop bear could withstand deadly musket fire. Further to the north however, the drop bears run with abandon in national parks frequented by tourists. Just because you haven't seen one doesn't mean they aren't there. This is a proof for the existence of God by the way.

you are kidding, hahahaahhahaha .,im from Sydney Australia .we only have deadly snakes ,crocs, thats about it.Australia is the most safest place in the world. the drop bear you are talking about is a koala bear that is a marsupial, they have a pouch.that photo is totally fake.they can only eat gum leaves (tree leaves)that is poisonous to humans . if they eat meat ,they will surely die.i have only seen 1 in my entire life in the nature.
if you put your fingers near it,it would probably bite any animal on earth would do the same.

For anyone interested, Todays drop bears are the decendents of an extinct creature called a Marsupial Lion, The marsupial lion is reputed by some to have been the "Most ferocious" predator carnivore ever. Look up Mega fauna and Marsupial Lion.
Todays Drop bears are poor excuses for Marsupial Lions, never the less it is best not to become fodder for them.

Drop Bears
… num, num, num…
(to be read slowly and scarily to little children at night…
with tickles and munching thrown in)

On quiet nights in little towns across the countryside
When tiny kids should all be snuggled up in bed inside
They wander out from under rocks and squirm from juicy leaves
Then hang about in gloomy spots until… num, num, num…
They’ll wait all night if necessary hanging from the trees
All evil, silent, small and hairy; blisters on their knees
Or in the darkest corner of the house beneath the eaves
Remember if you’re outside; don’t stand still… num, num, num…
The Drop Bears ‘ll get you if you’re still
Ooh to think they’re out there even now… num, num, num…
Munching on an unsuspecting cow… num, num, num…
Num, num, num…crunch, crunch, crunch, chomp, chomp, chew, chew, chew
Num, num, num, munch, munch, munch, they’re coming after you.

They’re out there num, num, numming with their awf’ly nasty breath
They drop and land on travellers and scare them half to death
They wander out from under rocks and squirm from juicy leaves
And should they take a bite you might get ill… num, num, num…
They’re out there num, num, numming as they spring and fall from heights
They’re after you so don’t go out alone on dark, dark nights
And never stand near corner of the house beneath the eaves
Remember if you’re outside, don’t stand still… num, num, num…
The Drop Bears ‘ll get you if you’re still
Ooh to think they’re dropping on the sheep… num, num, num…
Best if you just drop right off to sleep… num, num, num…
Num, num, num…crunch, crunch, crunch, chomp, chomp, bite, bite, bite
Num, num, num, now snuggle up you… should … be fine tonight
Sleep tight.… num, num, num…

What was that???

One of the reasons there are few images of actual drop bears is that they have a habit of disposing of photographers before they can take a photo. Photographers of any kind can be easily mistaken for tourists - the drop bears' natural prey. Just because drop bears, like the tasmanian tiger and yowie, are seldom seen, is no reason to doubt their existence.

That is *not* a real dropbear, it's a photoshopped image of a koala. There are hardly any images of dropbears extant, and none, to my knowledge, of one with a kill. As far as I'm aware, there is no certain evidence that vanished tourists of any persuasion have been taken by dropbears - although there is certainly circumstantial evidence.
